Memory Lane Cafe’s hard work pays off!
Earlier this month, Memory Lane Cafe was presented with their Quality For Health award after successfully completing Foundation Level. Memory Lane Cafe is run by June and Chris Harvey and supported by a team of volunteers. The group was set up to support those living with dementia, other forms of memory loss or isolation in Sowerby Bridge, Halifax and the surrounding areas. Their cafes are open to all and currently held in Sowerby Bridge on the 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month and in Halifax on the 1st & 3rd at the Maurice Jagger Centre.
Paul Mansley, Chair of Memory Lane Cafe said:
“It’s great to have an objective assessment of what we do and the benefits that we bring to our members.”
Dipika Kaushal, CEO of VAC who presented the team with the award, said:
“Seeing more and more organisations demonstrating the quality of their services through Quality For Health is fantastic. Well done to the team at Memory Lane Cafe – this award is thoroughly deserved and the importance of your services to the community is clear to see.”
