WomenCentre Calderdale & Kirklees are one of the first groups to sign up to renew their Quality For Health quality mark for a further two years. The local charity – who work to improve the quality of life for women both locally and nationally – were in the original cohort of voluntary and community organisations signed up for Quality For Health and gained the highest level of the award in 2016.
Angela Everson, CEO of WomenCentre said
“Quality For Health has enabled WomenCentre to review all areas of our organisation’s work and to develop areas where we feel we have gaps, as well as to be able to ratify what we are doing well. As a learning organisation we have welcomed the opportunity to do this.
It has also meant that we have been able to use this Quality Mark instead of continuing with other quality marks because it includes many of their requirements. We have saved time and money by doing this.”
Quality For Health is a quality assurance system that was developed by Voluntary Action Calderdale (VAC) in partnership with Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). Since its launch in 2015, Quality For Health has become a recognised and valued quality award to demonstrate the high standard of voluntary and community organisations in Calderdale and wider.
Dipika Kaushal, CEO of VAC said
“We are extremely pleased to have WomenCentre working to towards their renewal later this year. Having such a reputable organisation sign up to renew Quality For Health demonstrates WomenCentre’s commitment to providing high quality services and continuous improvement; this is confirmation that Quality For Health is a robust and effective quality assurance system.”
